Microsoft and HP have announced a partnership that will involve a three-year investment of $ 300 million to win large customers.
As part of the project, HP becomes Microsoft’s first Global Lead Partner for its human-ready business, and together they will develop enterprise-class systems in high-growth areas: messaging and unified communications; collaboration and content management; Business Intelligence; business process integration; and central infrastructure.
Microsoft will create a practice dedicated to Microsoft solutions, with the aim of developing a portfolio of products aimed at these sectors.
HP will add hardware and service offerings. It will target 22,000, up from 30,000, of its Microsoft project employees and establish solutions for a business-ready business training and technical training program.

With a partnership of 20 years behind and approximately 20,000 common customers, the companies hope to become a one-stop shop for the business customer.
John Gantz, research director at IDC, said: “This agreement means that the two companies and their combined ecosystems have the opportunity to offer complete solutions to their customers in these critical areas … Only software markets only in business intelligence, collaboration, content Infrastructure and management software running on Windows will be a $ 49 billion market in 2007.
