Windows 10 fades and window animations are purely visual fun, but waiting for them to load can make your PC look a little slow. If you want an instant response, you can turn off Windows 10 animations for a simpler desktop experience.
First, click the Start button, then click the wheel icon on the left side of the Start menu to open the «Windows Settings» menu. You can also press Windows + i to get there.
In «Windows Settings,» click «Accessibility.»
Scroll down to «Simplify and customize Windows» and uncheck the «Show animations in Windows» option.
When this switch is turned off, Windows no longer animates windows when you minimize or maximize them, nor does it make menus or menu items appear or disappear.
If you want to turn off some animations and leave others on, go to settings classic al Performance options. There, you can disable the window to minimize and maximize the animations, but leave the discolorations activated or vice versa.
Microsoft labels disabling animations as an «accessibility» feature, but it’s also appealing to people who want a more agile computing experience. It’s just one of the many ways you can customize the look of Windows 10.
