Windows 10 normally displays a battery icon in the notification area, also known as the system tray, when using a laptop or tablet. This icon shows the current battery percentage. Here’s how to recover it if it disappears.
The battery icon may still be in the notification area, but «hidden». To find it, click the up arrow to the left of the notification icons on the taskbar.
If you see the battery icon here (an area that Microsoft calls the «notification area override panel»), drag and drop it back to the notification area on the taskbar.
If you don’t see the battery icon in the hidden icons panel, right-click on the taskbar and select «Taskbar Settings.»
You can also go to Settings> Personalization> Taskbar.
Scroll down the Settings window that appears and click «Enable or disable system icons» in the notification area.
Find the «Power» icon in the list here and change it to «On» by clicking on it. It will reappear on the taskbar.
also maybe enable or disable other system icons from here, including Clock, Volume, Network, Input indicator, Location, Action center, Touchpad, Windows Ink workspace, and Touchpad.
If the power option here is gray, Windows 10 assumes you’re using a battery-free desktop. The power icon on the taskbar will not appear on computers without a battery.
Even after resetting the battery icon, it will not display an estimate of the remaining battery time when you hover over it. Microsoft has disabled this feature, probably because it is generally inaccurate. He still can reactivate battery life estimation with a registry trick.
