Slack It is one of the most popular workplace communication tools on the market today, but it is still not without clutter. You can eliminate some distractions by leaving old workspaces where you are no longer active. In this way.
Continue and open the Slack application on your Windows or Mac computer and navigate the desktop that you would like to leave. You can see the current workspaces in the left pane.
Select the workspace name in the upper left corner of the window.
A drop-down menu will appear. Here, select «Profile and account».
Once selected, the workspace directory will appear on the right side of the window. Click the three vertical dots icon below the profile picture.
Another drop-down menu will appear. Here, select «Account settings».
You will then be directed to the «Account Settings» tab of the selected Slack workspace. This tab will open in your default browser. You may need to log in to the Slack workspace to continue.
In this tab, scroll down until you see the «Deactivate account» option. Be sure to read the description and accompanying warning. After reading the information, click the «Deactivate your account» button on the right.
On the next screen, enter your password in the text box and click «Confirm Password».
A warning message will appear asking you to confirm that you want to deactivate your account. Read the content and, if you are sure, select «Yes, deactivate my account».
Another message will appear asking if you are Really sure you want to deactivate your account. Check the box next to «Yes, I want to deactivate my account» and then select «Deactivate my account».
You will then see a message that you have successfully left the Slack workspace. To re-enter the workspace, the workspace administrator will need to add it again.
