Intermediate smartphones are becoming quite expensive in Brazil: Monday (30), Samsung has launched Galaxy J8 , a device with a Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, a 6-inch screen with HD + resolution and a dual camera on the back, for R $ 1,899. It comes to compete with phones like the Motorola Moto G6 Plus and LG Qnote +.
- What is the difference between Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J7 Pro?
Galaxy J8 follows the design of Galaxy J6, but has a larger screen, with a 6-inch Super AMOLED panel (compared to the 5.6-inch of the simpler brother), a resolution of 1480 × 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18, 5: 9 The processing power does not change much: we are still talking about a cheap Snapdragon 450 chip, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of space, with the possibility of microSD expansion.
The rear camera, located above the fingerprint reader, is double with a main sensor 16 megapixel (f / 1.7) and a 5 megapixel secondary camera (f / 1.9) for blurry portraits. Video recording is in Full HD only. On the front there is a 16 megapixel (f / 1.9) selfie camera with an adjustable LED flash that allows three levels of intensity.
An interesting feature is the 3,500 mAh battery, over competitors Moto G6 Plus (3,200 mAh) and LG Qnote + (3,150 mAh). In practice, the Galaxy J8 invades part of the Galaxy A6 + territory, which has the same size of battery, processor and screen, but superior cameras. It also arrived in the country for $ 2,099, but can already be found for $ 1,700 in retail promotions.
Galaxy J8 is available this week in black, silver and purple. It will be sold with a new version of the Galaxy J6 with a larger storage capacity (64 GB versus 32 GB for the version presented in June), which is priced at $ 1,499.
