NET USE command parameters

Assign a name to connect to the resource or specify the device to disconnect. There are two types of device names: disk drives (ie D: via Z 🙂 and printers (ie LPT1: via LPT3 :). Write an asterisk

instead of a specific device name to assign the next available device name.

Specifies the server name and share. If ComputerName contains spaces, use quotation marks around the computer’s full name from the double line (\) to the end of the computer name, for example, «\ ComputerName ShareName». The computer name can be between 1 and 15 characters long.

Specifies the password required to access the share. Write an asterisk to generate a password request. The password is not displayed when you type it when prompted for the password.
/ user Specifies another username to sign in with.

Specify another domain. If you omit DomainName, NET USE uses the domain that is currently connected.

Specifies the username to log in with.

Specifies the fully qualified domain name for the domain in which the user account exists.

Stores credentials provided for reuse.

Specifies that the network connection uses the credentials on a smart card. If more than one smart card is available, the system will ask you to specify the credential.

Cancel the specified network connection. If the connection is specified with an asterisk

all network connections are canceled.

Control the use of persistent network connections. The default setting is the last one used. Device-free connections are not persistent. «Yes» saves all connections as they are and restores them on the next connection. «No» does not save the connection made or subsequent connections. Existing connections are restored the next time you connect. Use / delete to delete persistent connections.
