Apple has a lot to overcome this fall

The company may be planning more launch events as it prepares for iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple Watch updates this fall.

Apple could host more product launch events this fall, reports say, with new iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, operating systems and services scheduled for launch.

Apple’s wide range of products

Apple often likes to position itself as a large company with a startup-like internal culture, but I don’t know of any companies in the early stages where the product matrix has grown so much that they need to actively consider several launch events. .

It is far from Apple around 1999, when Steve Jobs managed to describe Apple in a dial based on laptops and desktops, consumer segments and professional products. While all Apple products still fit on one table, the table is larger and the company needs to schedule more time to discuss them all.

The fact that Apple is now rescheduling several launch events makes sense, given how much they need to talk about. What do we expect the company to present?

  • Apple Watch Series 7: redesigned with a screen and faster processors.
  • Third generation AirPods, more like AirPods Pro with better audio technology.
  • An impetus behind the Foundation and Apple TV.

The probable sequence could be:

September: iPhone event with AirPods and push to Apple TV.

October: an iPad event with Apple Watch and a push towards services, focused on health and fitness.

November – A Mac event, with a focus on professional applications and more information about the company’s activity at Apple Silicon.

Alternatively, Apple Insider speculates that two events could take place in September, one with the new iPhone and one with the other products received from Apple.

What’s next for the company?

While interest in the new iPhone is guaranteed, corporate buyers will definitely want to take a look at the basic iPad and MacBook Pro.

For many, the new iPad with its faster processor and promised tight integration with Macs (Universal Control) will become a viable option for deployment among mobile workers. We are already seeing a massive launch of M1-powered iPad Pro models, as a recently announced move to equip all Delta Airlines pilots with them. For tasks where that level of performance is less critical, education and some business markets may see the improved entry-level iPad as a viable option. That iPad is meant to look similar to Apple’s impressive iPad Air. Will it match your performance?

The M1X-powered MacBook Pro will enter a fast-growing enterprise market. Mass Mutual, ItalGas and Grab have recently confirmed major launches and are not alone. Faster performance and longer battery life in the industry will only reinforce this trend, and many executives will want to see what a difference these cars can make to them.

If there is a saving effect in the Apple Mac, at least for some companies, it will be support for Windows. Could one of Apple’s fall announcements see Microsoft make Windows for ARM available as a Parallels purchase option? We can only hope.
